Installation and Configuration Services
It's not what you've got, it's what you do with it.
The process of installing a new system can be deceptively easy, but the devil is in the detail. System installation are often problematic; with teething problems causing downtime and a lack of training effecting staff productivity. A badly planned installation could even render the investment in a new system worthless.
The installation services I offer are based on a combination of industry standards (ITIL Service Management Practices), and experience of working for very demanding managers and clients. Each installation is made up of the following stages (which assumes a system has already been selected and purchased);
- Design. This is where the system structure and functions are defined, in co-operation with key staff to ensure it meets the needs of the business
- Pilot. A limited implementation of the system is then rolled out, based on the design. Feedback from pilot users allows the design to be proven, or modified as required.
- Train. A critical part of any implementation which is all too often carried out after the system goes live. Training should be preparation for using the system, so it should always come first.
- Rollout. Actual implementation of the system, done to ensure no loss of productivity, and with safeguards in to ensure problems can be quickly resolved or worked around.
